Evan Bayh Lands Another Corporate Job

The list of jobs just keep growing for Evan Bayh. First, Indiana's former U.S. senator became a senior advisor for Apollo Global Management. He later joined a big D.C. law firm, McGuire Woods, after becoming a political contributor to Fox News. Then he joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as an advisor on government regulations and became a member of Fifth Third Bank's board of directors. Now we learn that he has been elected to Marathon Petroleum Corporation's board of directors. In a press release announcing Bayh's and two other board members' election, Marathon's chairman says the new board members bring "a wide variety of experiences and valuable business experiences" to the company. As Bayh has assured us with each of his other jobs, we're sure this one has nothing to do with government influence peddling.
